Left Field Brewery

One of new favorite spots is the most relaxing, craft breweries - Left Field Brewery. Located just north of Leslieville on Greenwood and just south of the Danforth, it can be found two doors down from Pilot Coffee Roasters.

Only a newbie to the Toronto craft beer scene, they have created a warm and welcoming atmosphere - one similar to the laid-back days of the original The Beer Academy (now under a relaunch).

With fresh beers on tap, the selection rotates depending on what's brewing. During the summer, Sunlight Park - a crisp saison - is the seasonal addition and pays homage to Toronto's first baseball stadium, built in 1886.

The location is industrial, like 1940's industrial. You can pull your bike into the open open garage door and enjoy a fresh draught while lounging in a Muskoka chair or enjoying a picnic on the picnic benches. (Yes, we found out that you are allowed to bring food in. That just made take-out at Queen Margarita or Maha's much easier.)

Swing on by for a visit and grab a flight or a pint - and perhaps even catch a bit of the Jays game with a group of people who truly love the sport. You can even buy an old school felt baseball cap to wear home.
