If we have a weekday off, you can typically find us walking to Pilot Coffee. Located just north of Leslieville at Wagstaff and Greenwood, the Pilot Coffee Tasting Bar is a great place to try something new.
You can taste different roasts and coffees using different brewing methods, but the returning favorite is the cold brew served slightly chilled and poured like a Guinness - thanks to their nitrogen tap.
The view is great - you can watch the team roast coffee and package it as you enjoy the finished product. The staff is relaxed and laid-back, and their goal is to allow their guests to enjoy the experience.
We've also visited Te Aro in Leslieville (Queen St. East) for lunch, and they have excellent soup and sandwiches. Be forewarned though... it gets really busy as it's a local staple.
