In our vows, we promised to cheerlead. It wasn't a forced action placed upon us by the action of marriage, but a commitment to encourage and coach and walk beside each other in all facets of life.
One thing that I am so proud of Adam for is that of his heart for others. He is so passionate about his faith and sharing that the gospel isn't some crazy or old, irrelevant tome, but a relatable and tangible story that is a narrative about love and redemption.
His passion extends to coaching other young leaders like he himself was coached. Without those influences, we realize that life would have been much different had they not taken the time to invest in him and us.
There is his current role working with kid's ministry at The Peoples Church. They have such a great team no just for the kids, but for the youth, too. Together, the three leaders - Dave, Elizabeth and Adam - work so hard to create balance for families and a foundation in Christ.
The picture above is from their winter session of Reaching High, where every Monday night, they along with other speakers would lead a group of volunteers, parents and leaders through different topics.
Sitting in the back of the room like I do most times he speaks, I resonate with pride. Not a boastful one, but one that is a smile and a quiet "well done" that accompanies a hug after everyone has gone home.
I see kids engaged, and parents relieved that there's a program that supports the family from birth to graduation, and I feel so blessed to be apart of it all.
